Bulldogs Sign MCC, Eupora Pitcher Lee Swindle
Mississippi State University has signed pitcher Lee Swindle of Eupora, Miss., to a baseball scholarship, head baseball coach Ron Polk announced Tuesday. Swindle is a 6-3, 210-pound right-handed pitcher at Meridian (Miss.) Community College where he is coached Chris Rose. The MSU signee earned second-team MACJC All-State honors as a freshman in 2006 after picking up three wins and two saves with a 2.59 earned run average. He recorded 64 strikeouts in 67-2/3 innings of mound duty as the MCC Eagles posted a 35-17 record en route to capturing the 2006 MACJC state championship.
